As a founding member of the National CrowdFunding Association, OnSetStart.com is quickly becoming a name to know and follow in the CrowdFunding space. Traffic at the site has grown quickly over the last few months as their marketing efforts have coincided with the boom of news related to the CrowdFunding space since the passing of the Jobs Act.
Our expectation is that OnSetStart.com will continue to grow traffic to its’ site, making it a player in the months to come. We would also expect this website to take advantage of Equity Crowdfunding after the SEC establishes the rules as required by the JOBS act. Equity Crowd Funding will be legal in the United States by early 2013, expect OnSetStart.com to be there.

I appreciate what One Set Start is trying to achieve by contributing to the world of crowd funding, and the more it remains online, the more popular it will get. This site features only two spots on its front page. This does not make it as attractive of a site as a Go Fund Me or a Kickstarter, for example. (The look of the site is important for customer interest.) However, the look of the site features a simple layout, which makes it easier for visitors to understand. Once you get past the first page, you’re brought to more information on projects to start or to fund.
I think the theme and layout looks a bit amatuerish. No doubt it looks clean and easy to navigate, the whole design looks too simplistic, as if created by a beginner web designer. It has quite a lot to build and work on, but nevertheless, it has great potential to grow well in this industry. And I hope they perservere on.
I didn’t know they were one of the founding members of the National Crowdfunding Association. That will give them an advantage, especially once the crowd funding policy get approved. I agree with you on their homepage though. Having 2 projects, with virtually 0% funds raised is not very appealing and blatantly shows the world their site’s lack of traffic and development. They should at the very least introduce their company and their services at the homepage to make it look more like a professional service, until they have more projects opened up. If they continue to market and advertise their site well, this site will be a huge success.
As one of the founding members of the National Crowdfunding Association, I was expecting a little more from this site. Still, they get the job done.

There’s still some growing to do for OnSetStart but I think it’s slowly getting there. The traffic to the website has been growing steadily and especially their US traffic which is so important for crowdfunding. As of right now I may go with a different crowd funding website, but I’ll keep my eye open for OnSetStart .com for the next few months. I’m sure I’ll be using their service in the near future.
