Petersfield, Jamaica is located in the rural part of Jamaica. It is a very small community with about two thousand inhabitants. Petersfield is located in the center of Jamaica’s sugarcane industry. Jamaica’s economy depends highly on tourism. Unfortunately, for places like Petersfield that are not traditional tourist parts of Jamaica, their economy is not supported by tourism. As a result, our mission is to impart individual and community empowerment through economic sustainability to promote self-reliance. The mission is definitely related to the needs of the citizens in Petersfield in order to promote an economy based on self – reliance and community. My project’s focus is also interrelated with the needs of the citizens in Petersfield. I want to continue to foster and aid in these endeavors to build self-reliance and community service through our construction initiatives. Any donations would be highly appreciated!
