A family of 5 that I am friends with and of whom I used to be a neighbor live in a very small appartment with only 1 bedroom. It is a very small place for a family with 3 children, age 16, 12 and 2. There is not much space to move around. Everybody is constantly bumping into one another and with some furniture in it even takes away any moving space that was there. Their youngest is just 2 years of age and has a small sleeping corner in the kitchen which is not a good and healthy space to sleep in. The 2 others are in bunk beds in what was offered as a storage room. Children need their own space, and to run around, a small garden. The funds will be used to purchase a house, paid in cash, so the family does not have a heavy mortgage.
