For those who do not know Emerson, there is no tell to show that something is wrong with this, happy, lovely, pleasantly chubby little boy.
However happy as he may be, he was born with two heart defects, which has resulted in continuous monitoring and testing, and will be requiring surgical intervention to help correct some of the defects.
Unfortunately, there is no one 'cure' or quick fix, so Emerson's only option will be ongoing, reoccurring surgeries to correct the issues that he currently has, as well as to correct the issues that will arrise from his condition.
