Hello my name is Jalaya and this is Roxie, my 8 month old Boxer / Staffordshire mix. I’ve only had her for about 5 months, and she is the LOVE OF MY LIFE. I didn’t expect Roxie to go into heat until she was around a year old, due to the expected heat cycle of the Boxer breed. She just had her first heat cycle last week, and my Mom said that she didn’t want little Roxies running around (she already had the “you’re not bringing any babies in this house” speech already!). While I do take care of most of the financial responsibility that comes with having a pet, I am coming up a little short when it comes to her preventative shots, necessary blood tests and her spay surgery. In order to keep her, I would need to do this sooner rather than later. I really want her to have the spay surgery soon because I do not want her getting mammary cancer or an infection that’s associated with her not having the surgery. I also do not want her to come in contact with a disease from her not having her shots. My Mom would help, but by her being a single Mom of 3 girls, and by us having to move out of our house in the summer, she keeps telling me that all her money and resources have to go towards the move.
I am sincerely asking for your help in raising funds to getting her surgery, shots and lab work done in order for Roxie to be around for a long time.
