First of all, to read the short story "Howler King" simply go to Wattpad and search for the title. After all, if you are going to support this project, you want to know what it is based on, correct?
Many people are asking, “When is your next book coming out? And what will it be about?” While I have a few projects in the works, the one which has captured my attention and imagination right now is a novel based on my short story “Howler King.” Work on the book has been slow because I have been using a most of my time and creative energy to teach my English classes over the last few months.
I have some potential time off this summer to devote more time to write, edit, format, and get a cover design created for the project. All of this costs money. Since I’ve had so many people asking for my next book, I’ve elected to do this Kickstarter, allowing others to help.
Donating to this cause is a win-win. There are rewards for donating (as found on the rewards page), plus with your help I’ll be able to get this book out by the goal date of December 2015.
Many people don’t realize the amount of money required to produce a book. Editing, formatting, and cover design can easily run into the thousands of dollars. That doesn’t factor in time required to write and promote the work!
I’m excited to have people read which will most likely be the first book in a series. The book doesn’t have an official title yet—my titles don’t usually come to me until after I finish writing them.
Please look over the rewards. I’m offering some pretty cool stuff. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
