Sponsorcraft brings crowdfunding to the academic sector, offering students an accessible, alternative method to obtain social funding for their ideas and projects.
Large student and alumni networks have been built over many years, on sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn, but this resource has been left largely untapped by current fund-raising drives. Sponsorcraft provides a platform for students to showcase their projects to friends, family, and university alumni, and tap into these networks.
We believe that Sponsorcraft’s key benefit over other platforms is our focus on education. Whilst we are still a young company, we already have a large number of people who have already donated to existing projects, ideas and events. By focusing on education, we are able to showcase new projects to those who have already sponsored “connected” projects – such as those at the same university or town or in similar categories.
Sponsorcraft’s vision is to create a global community of hundreds of thousands of students and sponsors who – together – are creating a massive amount of authentic value for the world through their projects and their donations. We believe that education needs its own platform and its own network so that projects in schools, colleges and universities can connect with each other, and with those who have already shown a propensity to give back.
Where have the majority of billion dollar ideas come from over the last 20 years? Think Microsoft, Google, Facebook….
Students!! While not an equity crowdfunding site, Sponsorcraft is sure to come across some incredible ideas over the coming few years. We wouldn’t be surprised if we read a few years from now “Our company just went public and sold for 47 billion dollars, we would like to thank Sponsorcraft for helping us obtain funding for our first version of the project”. In much less time you will almost definitely hear “that was an insane party and we collected all the funds we needed using Sponsorcraft”. Either way you can surely see the value of this bright, niche crowdfunding platform site.
