Guembanara launches Gofundme Crowdfunding Campaign for an independent
documentary: MamAfrica – History and life of a great african dancer.
Guembanara, a collective of independent italian filmmaker, has launched
a Gofundme Campaign to raise money for the production of their second
african documentary-movie: “MamAfrica – History and life of a great
african dancer”. The main character of the movie is Mama Adama Camara,
one of the most famous Guinea’s dancer who has being living in Europe
now for about twenty years and every year she goes back to her homeland
taking care of her big family of which she’ s in charge of.
Gofundme is a website that allows everyday people or businesses with
great ideas to seek out donors to help fund a specific project. You can
be a part of this campaign by contributing as you want. Donating 15
euros you will receive the file of the movie when completed.
Guembanara is a collective born in 2008 that gathers
projects about Africa from different moviemakers with experience.
Individually they comes from media-activism stories, laboratories for
the multimedia education in several conflicts zones, documentary productions
and enquiries.
This Campaign is live now and will be active through January. The Goal
amount of EUR 12000,00 will help them to shoot the documentary but it is
not an ‘All or nothing campaign’, They will receive every single
donation.
